If you are starting TeamViewer on your Mac running macOS 10.15 (Catalina) for the first time, you will be prompted with the following dialog:

By default, all permissions are set to Denied. Please give permission to the system capabilities manually to use TeamViewer as desired. If you or others need to access the Mac remotely, Screen Recording and Accessibility are required at a minimum.

To allow the access, click the buttons shown in the dialog. Eg. click Open Full Disk Access Preferences... which will bring you to the Full Disk Access section of the Privacy pane, inside the Security & Privacy preferences:

For the Accessibility access you will need to click the padlock icon in the lower-left corner to make changes. You will be prompted to enter the credentials of an administrator account to continue.

Put a check next to TeamViewer to grant it access:

Repeat the same for Screen Recording and Accessibility if desired. Those are required to control your Mac.

Click again on the padlock in the lower-left corner to prevent further changes.

Now you can close the Security & Privacy window. The next time you want to receive an incoming connection with TeamViewer, the person connecting to your Mac will be able to see and control your screen.

The permission status can be reviewed under Help -> Check system access at any time.

Network card is divided into wired network card and wireless network card. The Mac address of wired network card is easy to modify, but the Mac address of wireless network card is slightly troublesome. Because I use a notebook, I should use a wireless network card. The Mac addresses of the wired and wireless network cards are modified as follows.

Call the command line window and type the “ipconfig/all” command to view the information of the wired network card. Its header is the Ethernet adapter ethernet. Some information about VMware or virtaulbox may be listed here, which also starts with the Ethernet adapter. Pay attention to the distinction. The red box on the way is the Mac address. Next, let’s modify it.

  1. Open Manager (Device Manager)
  2. Find Network adapters
  3. Find the wired network card, the name can see the description shown in the command line window above. My wired network card name is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.
  4. Right-click the item of the cable network card and select Properties.
  5. Select the Advance tab from the pop-up window
  6. Find Network Address in the list
  7. Select Value in the radio box and fill in a suitable value (12 digits or letters, no -) to save.
  8. Let me take 000C29E7B28C as an example. If you re-execute “ipconfig/all” in cmd, you will see that the Mac address of the cable network card has been changed.

The red box in the picture is my wireless network card, but when you go into the Advance tab of Properties, you will find that you can’t find the Network Address item. You need to add this item here by writing a registry.

  3. Here my wireless network card is 0001 folder, and my wired network card is 0002 folder.
  4. In the wireless network card (in my case, under the 0001 folder) of the “Ndi” of the “Params” folder, right-click to create a new key, called “Network Address”
  5. Next, we need to go to the directory of the network card (in my case, under the folder 0002) and find the value under the key of the network Address, which corresponds to the directory of the wireless network card (in my case, under the folder 0001). New is created by right-clicking new – > String Value in the right panel

The next step is to go back to the Manager, right-click Properties, Advance, find Network Address, and fill in Value.
Note: The netizens here say that the characters filled in by Mac address must use 2, 6, A or E for the second character, otherwise it will not succeed!But I don’t seem to have met.

After saving, CMD can use “ipconfig/all” to see the successful modification of the Mac address of the wireless network card.
